Carpe Diem

Four things to do before you die

Now that Summer's starting to come to an end and the Pumpkin Spice Latte is back in full effect, I've decided to reevaluate my to do list. I'm sure you remember the twitter debates between #Yolo and #CarpeDiem, but the educated side of me is definitely more keen to promote the second option. Here is my list of things to do before I die...

TRAVEL:
Grab your passport and if you don't have one- GET ONE! The world is such a beautiful place and there is so to see! Be the person on facebook and instagram that's posting the photos of the wonderful places you've traveled, delicious food you've eaten and brilliant shopping you've encountered. I'm fairly certain that my travel list is longer than anyone can accomplish (while still having a regular 9-5) but one can hope!

READ A BOOK THAT CHANGES YOUR LIFE:
I love a good book, especially when I'm traveling. Often times I get stuck on whatever's around the house or hiding on a friends bookshelf but occasionally, I will find something captivating. Find something you can't put down, that challenges your ideas or that even is a reflection of yourself. Be inspired!

LOVE FULLY & TRULY:
Whether it's your best friend, significant other, grandmother, puppy or anyone in between- allow yourself to love. Moulin Rogue did say it best (especially since it was said by Ewan McGreggor in his glory days),
The greatest thing you will ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.
Now I'm not sure it's the greatest lesson in life, but it's certainly one worth experiencing.

TEST YOUR BOUNDARIES:
Try something new, test yourself physically, ask that guy you've been flirting with out on a date, learn a new instrument, find a job you love instead of one you are stuck in- never be afraid to test your boundaries to help further define yourself.

Although this list is short and sweet, it's definitely incomplete. These are just a few of the things that I've added to my bucket list/mid-year resolutions/twenties to-do list.

What have you got on yours?
